Well, i currently play the oboe (grade 3) and alto saxophone (grade 4,
going to do skip 5 and go to 6 soon) and well, i love the sound of the
violin also. I love music and everything about it, i was first really
inspired when listening to Ida Haedin (can't spell i surname) play a
piece, pablo sarasate zigeunerweisen and it was just beautiful. I want
to know though, is the violin easy to learn, can i get lots of solo's
and could you specify the details about the violin please. But then my
friends keep saying that should rather play viola, i mean big of a
difference are they?? I already know how to read music so :D (BTW im
14). Final thing, should i also play the violin (its is either all
three or no violin, cause im not going up oboe and sax), will it
affect my school work also, in a negative way, cause im pretty much
the one of the top at my studies for GCSE, but don't want to fall
behind because of another instrument. (Taking History, French, Geo,
Music, IT, Triple Science, Maths and English, i only revise about 3
weeks before a test, but for french i go over what i learn for about
10 minutes each day, i have my music lessons each once a week and
practise them for about 30 mins for each one, each day.)
